Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

make me
Ingredients
Serving Size: 1 loaf
Wet Ingredients
3 very ripe large bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Add-In
3/4 to 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 355°F. Grease with butter or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth with a few small lumps.
Add the eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until fully combined.
Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top if you want that bakery look.
Bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs. If at 50 minutes it is still not fully cooked through, cover the top with aluminum foil (so the top doesn’t brown too much) and bake for another 15 minutes.
Let cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing

This banana bread was the kind of dessert who's smell permeated my entire apartment in the best way possible. I brought it to my friend's apartment for dessert and we ended up eating it for dinner. No one could get enough. It's rich but classic, moist and melts in your mouth, and perfectly banana-y. It. is. perfection.
